If one thing we must be clear is that RIM does not want to let your operating system for BlackBerry smartphones become an alternative to a UI austere, old-fashioned (but effective), or boring. Remember, and we focus on what the position currently occupied by the Canadian manufacturer in the U.S. market for smart phones: a market share of more than about 40%. Why? Frankly because it seems we love to write text messages, send e-mail or simply “chat from your mobile phone? Walking up and down the streets of Barcelona, especially by one of the more affluent areas of the city, it is not difficult to see young teenagers holding in his hand a Blackberry 8520. “Amazing? No wonder. RIM is being renovated, and this “new look” is becoming increasingly close. What will surprise us? The new promotional video available on YouTube hints at where it is headed:

1. Universal Search: It may be one of the more practical functions that may be included, simply click on the qwerty keyboard for the system to suggest we known contacts, websites visited recently the subject of an artist … a quick access to content on our terminal.
2. Visual aspect of our contact, a drop-down options are listed on our screen when we review a phonebook contact: call, send sms, email, start an instant messaging conversation, or see the image of self contact.
3. Synchronization with social networks: not that it is a fad, but a need and market trend requiring manufacturers to devise their own systems for synergy with Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, email, calendar …. BB OS 6.0 has been put into it. It is possible to send a single message to all the social networks that we are taking sides, or receive all our contacts updates like a news reader in question. RIM syncs us, in its way, stylish, and it seems that will keep us connected.
4. Networking Software: If the Bold 9700 already gives us the option to download applications, with BB OS 6.0, we are invited to use them. What made me smile, as a regular at technology news, is the incorporation by the end of a news reader (Feed Reader), which could certainly not be lacking in the renewed image of the new RIM software.
5. Developments in the form of alerts (either appointments on the agenda, Facebook messages, e-mail or SMS), Blackberry introduces us to the summary screen presentation mode. Bravo!

Personally I do not need my Blackberry fight with iPhones or Androids, as referred to User Interface. What I and other faithful RIM owners want, is only able to enjoy a combination of “explosive” in the heart of our smartphone. I personally do not mind both have 4 “display, and enjoy a fully functional QWERTY keyboard. RIM OS perhaps having a more serious, less or more lacked visual color and animation, but frankly, it’s very good at his behavior, agility, and practical applications to which the owners want the terminal part. BB OS 6.0 will give us a little more flexibility to communicate, to relate, to be informed at all times of what interests us … but fortunately, and so, no footrot the hallmarks that have made Blackberry a excellent operating system that, while not the cause of great covers and news, is certainly cause for belief in its possibilities.
