BlackBerry Media Box, See The TV Home on BlackBerry

Take it as an advance on where we will try to have more news in the coming days. The same source confirms that ‘in May 2010 that RIM was planning what initially was called BlackPad and we now know as the BlackBerry playbook, confirms that it is pursuing the creation of the BlackBerry Media Box.

We were told that the BlackBerry Media Box seems to be a device to be connected to home TV in your house and allows you to view videos and photos online, but not only. We can also watch movies, photos, music and more, all in streaming, accessing the content on any PC or network.

The RIM BlackBerry Media Box is based on hardware similar to that of the playbook and should be powered by the QNX operating system. Our hypothesis is that we might see this product released by the end of 2011. The details are not yet known but we will monitor our sources for further information.

Projects of this kind are not new. Let us not forget the SlingBox a similar product well known in the U.S. market that is beginning to spread to Europe. The current fashion is becoming to be able to see their home television on the move on your BlackBerry. That is out of the house using our handheld or mobile phone.

LiveProfile for Nokia

LiveProfile, the instant messaging application to communicate with your friends propete no matter what kind of smartphone you have, is now available for Android, BlackBerry and iPhone. Many users have asked us if we can install on Nokia, so we are curious enough to investigate if they are working on a version for these phones, given the large number of people who own a Nokia.

In the FAQ and blog their official website says nothing about it, but I found this support forum, where users clamor for a Nokia version of the application. There are many topics where users perform the same question, but it caught my attention this topic where someone asked:

I’ve noticed that LiveProfile has not yet been released for Nokia smartphones, do you have plans to LiveProfile for a phone like the Nokia E72?

To which I replied an official representative

Just wanted to keep you all informed. We are in the process of development. It’s exciting for us and we know you are all ready! Please be patient and assure them that worth the wait! And I mean, LiveProfile for Symbian as well?!? That’s great!

And yes, it’s great to know that finally the Nokia and Symbian users will have a version of LiveProfile. Just have to wait a little longer.
