For months I’m used to working daily with news or RSS Feeds and recently changed back to my device for my Blackberry Bold 9700 today I found an obstacle: finding an RSS reader compatible with Blackberry OS 5.0.
The task seems simple, just need to connect to and install Blackberry App World “News Reader”, “NewsCopier Pro” or “RssNews.” The problem arose when attempting to sync a RSS news channel, the application returned me an error related to the APN. I do not know if it pertains to any limitations or configuration of my wireless service operator, Vodafone, but oddly enough the timing seems unworkable.
ACOTEC strange face, I decided to install a powerful application that he knew, for Symbian s60, and is also available for Blackberry OS: Snaptü. Bran.
For those who have similar problems and want to access feeds from many news blogs or websites, I strongly recommend using Snaptü, at least to use the application as an RSS Reader. The interface is simple, it shows whether there are developments in the channel (by drawing a star), and connects to the source of the news in just 2 seconds. It’s just brilliant, presenting the summary of the article, the cover image, and giving us the option to view the full story via the smartphone’s browser, normal web format.
The only “but”, for which we are used to automatically configure notifications is just that, we are given an option to receive an alert every hour, every 2 or the comfortable frequency at which we were accustomed. The timing must be manual.
The world is not perfect, but Snaptu opens the door to others, for whatever reason, fail to unlock.
