Features of Nokia N900 Rover (RX-51) and Maemo 5

With the previous post on Nokia N900 I have upgraded with a gallery of catches imágenesy Maemo 5 Today we had a lot of information in this new internet tablet from Nokia is expected to appear in the final quarter of the year for about 550 euros.

But with such information (which it almost ruined the official presentation of Nokia does not?) I can not help posting this summary of the features of Nokia N900 Rover RX51:

  • Resistive touch screen with 800 × 400 px resolution
  • Freemantle Maemo OS
  • 5 megapixel camera like the N97
  • GPS
  • Video Playback “unconverted”
  • microSD up to 32GB
  • 32GB of internal memory (!)
  • Amh Battery: Standby time is similar to N97 but less used, although being a prototype that can change
  • ARM Cortex-A8 CPU (addressed in particular not to reveal the speed and RAM)
  • Load per microUSB
  • TV-out
  • And do not forget to see some of the impressions I took away from performance and user interface of the device:

Many visual effects, good reaction to touch, very different from N97, and much closer to the iPhone but not a copy of the iPhone interface has a very distinct look and feel and it is very unlike anything that Nokia was before browser: stable, supports flash, video and applets partial compatibility with legacy applications, some but not others go kinetic scrolling
